  • CCODN's second quarter meeting with Dr. Joseph Fiksel of the OSU Center for Resilience was a huge success! The members and guests in attendance enjoyed an engaging discussion on the characteristics of resilient organizations while learning about the innovative research and consulting efforts underway at OSU.

Our speaker described resilience as the capacity of a system to survive, adapt, and grow in a continuously changing environment. The topic was of great interest to our chapter, as our focus for the next year is on helping organizations become more innovative in an environment where the pace of change continues to accelerate. Resilience can be seen as a precursor to innovation.

The Center for Resilience is currently partnering with several area companies to develop methods to diagnose and enhance organizational resilience. The Center is looking for companies that might be interested in piloting a new tool later this year. If you or your organization is interested, contact Dr. Fiksel for further information.

Thank you to Wendy's International for hosting our meeting!
